THE CHALLENGE
Addiction intervention is often overwhelming, emotionally charged, and difficult to navigate, especially for loved ones unsure how to help effectively.
Do you ever wonder if you or someone you care about may have an addiction problem? Are you feeling disheartened because a loved one is trapped in a cycle of relapse, struggling to find the motivation to quit? Do you feel powerless when trying to express your concerns and emotions?
THE GOAL
Create an app that empowers families, friends, and individuals to understand addiction, organize interventions, and build a supportive recovery network.
Project Process: Story & User Scenario
My husband drinks frequently, almost every day during meals, and I wasn’t sure if his drinking habits were normal. After researching alcohol addiction online and consulting a doctor, I realized he might have a problem. One night, after he fell asleep drunk, his loud snoring kept me awake. When I asked our children, they admitted that his snoring often disturbed their sleep too. Worried, I reached out to friends, who shared similar experiences. One friend’s story about her uncle’s illness from alcoholism scared me.
A doctor friend reviewed my husband’s recent health reports and pointed out rising blood glucose and uric acid levels due to alcohol. This confirmed my fears, so I scheduled an appointment with an intervention expertDuring the meeting, the children shared how his behavior affected them, and I relayed the doctor’s analysis and my friend’s cautionary story. With the support of the expert, family, and friends, my husband acknowledged the issue and committed to reducing his alcohol intake. He also agreed to a follow-up session to create a detailed recovery plan.

User Flow Diagram
After conducting thorough research and user analysis, I began mapping the flow chart to visualize key user journeys, task flows, and decision points. This process helped clarify how users would interact with the platform, identify potential pain points, and ensure the overall structure aligned with both user needs and goals. The flow chart served as a foundational reference for the wireframing and design stages that followed.
Wireframe
Based on research insights and a clearly defined set of user groups, I began developing wireframes to structure the layout and user experience. These wireframes aimed to address specific user needs while aligning with business goals, setting the foundation for a functional and intuitive design.
Design Process
Began defining the visual design by establishing the overall branding, including color palette, typography, and style guidelines for the app. This ensured a consistent and cohesive look and feel across all screens and user interactions.

Deliverables
Finalized the app design while simultaneously creating an introductory video to showcase the app’s features, functionality, and overall user experience.
